I'm 35, bi, gf, married with a kid. I live in Wales, I work in a pharmacy and write fiction and poetry too.
I've got five cats and four chickens.
I will always love Stargate (SG-1 and SGA) and Trek (TNG, DS9, VOY) I have passing interests in other and currently love Dragon Age, MCU, Steven Universe, Brooklyn 99. I don't write as much fanfic as I used to still have a lot of ideas peculating up there. I miss being part of fandom though I've always felt like I was on the fringes.
I ship f/f and het mostly, and I read that too but I will write anything. Any pairing. I'm either mental or gifted. Not sure which.
I love old films from the beggining to the 70s. Love MST3K. The new series was great. I love crap films, I hate reboots but I will watch them sometimes.
I have a post here that has more about me if you want to check it out.
AGE: 25, can't wait to be whatever the male equivalent of a Christmas Cake is next year!
INTERESTS & HOBBIES: Animals, anime, art, computers/electronics, food, foreign languages and the cultures associated with them (spanish especially), goth garbage, halloween, LGBTQ stuff, monsters, movies and tv shows, music, roleplay, shiba inu puppers (I own one!), video games, writing... Wow, I'm so unique!!!
LOOKING FOR: I suppose I'm just looking for people who share common interests with me at the moment. I've linked my profiles for MyAnimeList, etc., above if anybody wants more specific details on my fandoms of choice. My main fandoms are Aikatsu!, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! though. I'm not into live action stuff as much as I am with cartoons and I'm not big into popular live action canons either, so no SPN or MCU for me.
ANYTHING ELSE?: I'd like to think of myself as an open-minded guy, although I don't take other people's bullshit easily. I deal with fibromyalgia, mental illness, insomnia, crippling perfectionism, gender dysphoria, and my body generally being a giant unwanted mess, and I'm trying to live life as drama-free as I can while crossing my fingers that I can get my brain transplanted into a new body and mysteriously find a million dollars in my bank account. Puns, sarcasm, and self-deprecation are my bread and butter for lifting my spirits. Icon related.
Original vent / post:
West Somerville folks - I just had a terrible experience in Teele Square, bad enough that I would like to spread my rage at the proprietor of a local business, the Knight Moves Cafe on Broadway. Please stay far away from this business with kids. If you have any kids who walk to and from the west somerville school, please make sure they steer clear of the business as well.
The proprietor (edit: manager) of this business threatened to call the Somerville police and made my children cry, for the crime of disagreeing over what to get with a few bucks each at the conveience store, and the crime of waiting for me on the sidewalk rather than inside the dry cleaners on the same block, and then choosing to get into my unlocked car with the cold drinks they had bought at the convenience store, while my 5 min errand lasted 15 min because the folks at the dry cleaners were trying to repair a broken zipper for me on a coat I had cleaned out of my closet and intended to donate.
Seriously if you have any choice in ever doing business with them, and support the right of elementary school kids to have a little independence and learn from their disagreements on whether mom said they could get ice cream, I urge you steer clear.
I am FURIOUS at having been confronted for going to the dry cleaners and letting my kids go to the convenience store to enjoy their refreshing cold drinks. And I even like board games and was pleased when they came to town.
I am SURE that plenty of kids the age of mine walk home from WSNS through Teele Square every school day. Yes, even when it's hot out. But if your first grader has an argument with their big sibling in the vicinity of Teele you can expect the police to be called, next time.

- The Shawarma Place, in Cutter Square (EDIT: moved to 215 Highland Ave)
- Aguacate Verde, in Wilson Square
- Union Mart and Subway, in Union Square
I'm looking for equally geeky people above 25.
I'd like to get a reality check (is that an inadvertent pun???) on the viability of doing a storefront "pop up" art gallery in and around Davis Sq and the environs. I have some questions about what to consider when approaching building owners and how to make my "pitch" more attractive and acceptable.
Please PM me
We are launching this project at the first Somerville Climate Forward Community Meeting on June 26th. Meeting details are as follows:
When: Monday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: East Somerville Community School, 50 Cross Street, Somerville

Dorothy Africa will present practical ideas for “hardscaping” -landscaping in a hard place – with inexpensive and creative materials. Eleanor Ramsay will present a slide show of how she turned her literal hardscape, an asphalt parking lot backyard, into a shady garden retreat.
Tickets for the Somerville Garden Tour will be on sale at the meeting. There will also be the usual Q and A and raffle. All Somerville Garden Club meetings are free and open to the public. 7-9pm. Meetings are held the at the Tufts Administration Building, (TAB), 167 Holland Street, second floor, wheelchair accessible.
